Vast Concepts was born in 2023 out of frustration — the kind that comes from staring at a disorganized tool bag before a job, or spending 20 minutes hunting for the right round at the range. We knew Milwaukee's PACKOUT system was the gold standard for modular storage. What we didn't know was why nobody was making accessories that actually live up to the hype.

So we built them ourselves.

Our Story

Before Vast Concepts existed, we were customers — buying what the market offered. And what the market offered was disappointing. Tool companies had been selling mounting bases and accessories for years, but the products were bulky, overengineered in the wrong ways, and clearly designed by people who prioritized manufacturing cost over real-world usability. Massive bases that ate up half your PACKOUT space. Generic mounts that sort of fit — until they didn't. Accessories built to a price point, not a standard.

We kept asking the same question: why does a storage system this good have accessories this mediocre?

The answer, we realized, was that nobody making those accessories was actually sweating the details. They were treating PACKOUT compatibility as a checkbox, not a design constraint. So we started from scratch — with calipers, CAD software, and a commitment to getting the fit right before anything else.

We started Vast Concepts with a simple mission: design and manufacture PACKOUT-compatible accessories that meet the same standard of precision and durability as the system they're built for. No loose tolerances. No cheap plastics. No guessing whether something will actually stay put when your truck hits a pothole.

Every product we make starts at a workbench — reverse-engineered from the PACKOUT system itself, modeled in CAD, prototyped, tested, and refined until the fit is exactly right. That process doesn't happen overseas. It happens here, in our workshop, in the USA.

In-House 3D Printing with PETG — Not All Plastics Are Equal

We manufacture every product in-house using high-quality PETG filament — a material chosen deliberately over cheaper PLA alternatives. Here's why that matters to you:
